ConocoPhillips, Venezuela's PDVSA reach $2 billion settlement over seized oil projects in the Caribbean
More than a decade ago, Venezuela seized several oil projects from ConocoPhillips without compensation. But ConocoPhillips recently announced that the Venezuela state oil company will pay a $2 billion judgment over nearly five years as a way of making amends, The New York Times reports.
